Tip of the Day - Know Your Stores Expired Coupon Policy

Just because you have a coupon that expired yesterday doesn't mean that your grocery store might not take it!  A lot of grocery stores will take coupons that have expired within that week.  Each store has a certain day that they send all of their coupons in, usually at the end of the day on Saturday, so if a coupon expired on Tuesday then they will still take it through Saturday.  After they mail in the coupons they received for that week however, they will no longer accept any coupons that expired before that date.  Other stores may give you a grace period of two or three days past the expiration date.  This is always handy because if you're like me you're busy and forget what day of the month it is or that the awesome frozen veggie coupon expires today!
